It is international family day today
On December 8, 1989, the 44th United Nations General Assembly passed one resolution, announced it was that an international family was annual in 1994, and confirm its theme as " Family: Change motive force and responsibility in the world " ,It engraves languages " Set up minimum democratic system in the social core " . The special meeting of New York proposed, determines as " international family day " on May 15 every year from 1994 in 1993 . Set up " international family day " Aim at improving position and condition of the family, strengthen the international cooperation in protecting and helping the family. So as to improve government's decisions of various countries and the public's understanding of the family problem, promote the harmony, happiness and progress of the family. The theme of day of international family is this year: Repel in the face of family's poverty and the society.
